What We Do

Our Mission

The patrol is an organization of volunteers whose purpose in organizing is to promote safe and enjoyable skiing and to provide immediate aid and care to injured skiers on Snow King Mountain, Jackson, Wyoming.

A Mountain of Heritage

Snow King Mountain isn’t just a place to ski; it’s an embodiment of Jackson Hole’s history. For decades, families and community members have gathered here to create memories, share laughter, and experience the thrill of winter sports. Our volunteer patrol helps maintain this cherished tradition and preserve the unique character that makes Jackson Hole an exceptional place to live and visit.

Education for Resilience

As frontline responders tasked with ensuring the safety and well-being of skiers and snowboarders on the slopes, ski patrollers must possess a comprehensive understanding of various aspects including first aid, rescue techniques, avalanche awareness, mountain safety protocols, and environmental stewardship. Continuous education not only enhances their ability to effectively respond to emergencies but also equips them with the knowledge to mitigate risks, educate the public, and promote a culture of safety within the mountain community. Through ongoing training and professional development, ski patrollers uphold the highest standards of excellence, safeguarding the enjoyment of winter sports enthusiasts while fostering a safer and more inclusive mountain environment for all.
